The Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) is a research station in the desert of Utah (USA) which serves as a testbed for equipment and methodologies that one day may fly to Mars.
MDRS is typically manned by a six person crew which stays in the habitat for two weeks. Several Belgians have already stayed in the MDRS, and for 2010 an entirely Belgian crew is scheduled.
More information about the MDRS is available on the MDRS website (in English).
